  1. Introduction

    True Velocity Ammunition, LLC (“True Velocity”) reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion and without sending notice to you, so you should review this Privacy Policy periodically. The effective date of this notice and any revised or changed notice may be found on this page, on the bottom left-hand corner of the notice. Any changes will be effective only after the effective date of the change and will not affect any dispute arising prior to the effective date of the change.

  2. Information We Collect

    True Velocity's policy is to protect the confidentiality of the individually identifiable information that you provide, and we limit access to that information only to those with a need to know. By visiting the website, True Velocity collects the following information from you automatically: Computer Information and Cookie data as detailed below. In addition, if you choose to complete certain forms, purchase Merchandise from us, or send us requests, you will be asked to provide the following information: full name, street address, city, state ZIP, phone number, e-mail address, payment information, and proper identification documents for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. By utilizing payment tokenization techniques through a 3rd party payment gateway in order to store payment information, your payment information will never be directly handled by, or stored on web servers or any other medium owned and serviced by True Velocity.

    True Velocity encourages all users of this Site to register for the mailing list, so that you can receive the latest information on new products. You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting us, clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of each email sent, or by clicking the toggle next to “Marketing Newsletter” in the “Communications” section of your account settings provided that you are signed in with an account you have created on the site.

    Computer Information

    True Velocity logs your current Internet address (this is usually a temporary address assigned by your Internet service provider), the type of operating system you are using, the make and model of the device you are using, and the type of browser software used. In addition, True Velocity may keep track of what portions of this Site you are visiting. True Velocity aggregates this information to help True Velocity improve or create a better experience for users of the Site. For example: True Velocity may upgrade those parts of the Site that are heavily visited.

    Our website automatically records website usage information that we analyze statistically to track operational problems, to prevent fraud and to improve the effectiveness, security and integrity of the site. We do not use this information to track or record information about individuals. We will disclose this information to third parties only in aggregate form or as may be required by law. For each page that you visit, we collect and store the following technical information in what is called a web server log file:

    TRACKING USER BEHAVIOR

    For the purpose of enabling better website design and a better user experience, we employ Google Analytics (a web service by Google, Inc.) and Microsoft Application Insights (a cloud based operational monitoring service by Microsoft) to track site traffic and provide aggregate reports of how the public interacts with our website.

    Currently, we use Google Analytics to collect e-commerce related information such as: items viewed (such as the pictures that displayed on your screen or any offer/promotions), if you started the checkout process, all cart interactions including add/remove from cart and associated item information such as SKU, item name, resulting quantity, price, any offers being applied to that item at the time and the resulting discounted price, order placed by user and associated information pertaining to that order such as offers used on order, transaction/order ID, items on the order including SKU, name, quantity, price, and discounted price. Information collected on all events includes geographic location from where you connected to the internet, device used to connect (operating system, brand, hardware), browser/user agent utilized, and the time the event occurred.

    The transaction ID we collect using Google Analytics may be used to connect Google Analytics data with the other data that we have within other areas of our system about the order, including the user account data related to the order.

    Session cookies are employed by Google Analytics in the form of client-side JavaScript code. For specifics on how Google Analytics collects and processes data, please see "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services", (located at www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/, or any other URL that Google may provide from time to time).

    We use Microsoft Application Insights to monitor and analyze user interactions on our website. This helps us improve performance, identify errors, and enhance the overall user experience. Below are the key points regarding our use of Application Insights:

    • 1 - Data Collection: Application Insights collects telemetry data about user interactions, including page views, events, and performance metrics. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) by default. However, be cautious not to include sensitive data in URLs or custom code that might inadvertently collect personal or sensitive details.

    • 2 - Custom Event Logs: We configure custom event logs within Application Insights to track specific user journeys. These logs provide detailed insights into user behavior, allowing us to understand how users interact with our website.

    • 3 - Privacy Considerations: We ensure that sensitive data is not included in plain text URLs. During development and testing, we review the data sent to Application Insights in our IDE and browser’s debugging output windows.

    In utilizing these services, True Velocity maintains its existing standards with regard to the sharing and disclosure of information, security and privacy safeguards for the data, and the data retention policy, each described below. Google Analytics and Microsoft Application Insights analyze website usage information automatically upon visits to the True Velocity website. Users who do not wish to have their visit information collected by Google Analytics or Microsoft Application Insights may opt-out by downloading a browser extension, by disabling cookies in their browser settings, or by using our cookie consent manager accessed by clicking the cookie icon displayed at the bottom left of our website on every page. Opting out of web measurements will still permit users to access the full True Velocity website, with all included information and functionality.

    Cookies

    Because we link to social media sites, and from time to time may include third-party advertisements, other parties may collect your personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different web sites when you visit this Site.

  6. Encryption

    True Velocity uses no encryption (data scrambling) on certain portions of the Site but uses encryption on portions where you are transmitting financial information, such as credit card information. When you are on any web site that asks you for confidential information, you should check to see if the information being transmitted is encrypted in order to increase the security of your information. Keep in mind that there is no such thing as perfect security.

  7. Limitation Of Liability

    UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL TRUE VELOCITY BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT OR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES THAT MAY ARISE FROM A CLAIM OF BREACH OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law, or $5, whichever is less.

    We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following controls over your information.     You may designate an authorized agent to make a request to exercise your rights on your behalf. For your protection, we reserve the right to deny any request from an agent who does not submit proof that they have been authorized to act on your behalf.

    True Velocity has no actual knowledge that it sells personal information of minors under age 16.

    True Velocity makes no active effort to collect personal information from children under the age of 18 and does not wish to receive any such information.
